The JV Baseball Martlets traveled to West Simsbury to face the Lions of Master’s School on Monday night. Westminster scored 15 runs on 9 hits and took advantage of a few errors to build their lead and take control of the game. Carter Styspeck '26 pitched four innings of 4-hit baseball and struck out 7 while surrendering 3 runs (2 earned) and 3 walks. Teddy Russell '26 came in for the fifth inning and struck out the side to complete the victory. Derek Waddell '27 was the only Martlet with multiple hits as he doubled in the first and singled in the fourth and had 2 RBI. Other players with hits included Ethan Villacis '27, Russell, Tommy Cocarro '26, Brendan Gilooly '26, Tim Donohue '27, George Baird '26, and Dylan Ness '26.
