Martlets Mercy Loomis Chaffee

On the final regular season home Saturday, the birds hosted Loomis Chaffee on Osborn Field. With four league games remaining, this would be an important contest as the playoff picture shapes up. Tri-captain Jack Sheldon '24 would get the ball and delivered a stellar performance, surrendering 2 runs while racking up 7 Ks. After going down 1-0 in the first, Westminster got a leadoff HR from Boston College-bound Easton Masse '25 on their way to NINE first inning runs. The boys would add to their lead in the second and fourth innings, tallying 16 total runs on the day. Masse '25 and Alex Mihailovich '25 (4 RBI) were the offensive stars. The game ended after 5 innings due to the mercy rule. The birds head to Dunkin' Park in Hartford on Wednesday to take on the #2 team in New England, Deerfield.
